Sorellina
Meaning: “Littlest Sister”
“Sorellina is more than just a wine brand, it’s a dedication to family, service, and bringing people together through sustainable farming. “
Developed by Ava Grace Sannino, “Sorellina” brings a fresh, modern perspective to traditional winemaking while supporting local agriculture and small business sustainability. Created to be enjoyed with friends and family, Sorellina encourages connection, conversation, and discovering your personal wine style.
“Growing up with my parents building a wine business, my exposure to alcohol was completely different from most. I noticed the drinking culture in my generation at Cornell, centered around shots, “Ready to Drink” canned beverages, and catching a buzz fast. However, my understanding of alcohol came from the wine that was always shared around a table with food and family. It opened conversations about culture, region, farming practices, and winemaking traditions. Inherently, wine’s lower alcohol by volume encourages you to slow down and enjoy it with intention. In Italy, wine is often considered a food rather than simply alcohol! I created Sorellina to help bridge the gap in wine knowledge and make wine feel approachable for more consumers.”
Designed as a lighter style red blend with a fresh, modern taste, Sorellina was created to introduce newer wine drinkers to traditional winemaking in an accessible and welcoming way. The brand reflects Ava’s commitment to sustainability, local agriculture, and small family business values while maintaining a style that feels relaxed, social, and easy to enjoy.
“Sorellina” represents a return to intentional drinking, bringing people together, encouraging conversation, and creating meaningful experiences around the table, all rooted in sustainable farming.
The wine is a dedication to the Sannino family, whose support, hard work, and passion for agriculture inspired the vision behind the wine. With gratitude and thanks to those who helped shape her journey, Sorellina is meant to be shared in celebration of family, community, and connection.
